This have enabled process-domains on salt playas to be identified, and the detection of seasonal, inter-seasonal, and spatial changes in salt playas which have been related to variations in sediment, salt, and moisture fluxes,. Surface water and groundwater activity, and eolian processes are all identified as important sediment transfer processes.
