The 'en-échelon' microfolds associated to the Sbiba E-W dextral strike-slip fault correspond to the megastructures of the northern Chott chain. In the same way, the Labeid kilometric drafold is the equivalent of Fejej megafold. Consequently, the Chott chains generated as the result of the E-W sunsurface strike-slip fault and is incompatible with the proposed N 120-130 strike-slip fault mechanism (Gafsa and Negrine-Tozeur). bibliogr.
