Mining Conf in the Great Jamahiriya Hammam Zriba Mine worked mainly for the exploitation of an ore consisting mainly of fluorite and situated 70 Km SW of Tunis City. The thickness of the ore layer is 1-18m slightly inclined (12°C)eastwards. The aim of the study was to decide on the best method for mining the ore. The underground room and pillar method was chosen in the light of the mechanical properties of the rocks which were obtained in this study.
