Catalogue reference : A study of treatment of sulphide ores of southern Kobosh in North West Tunis. 1st. Mining Conf in the Great Jamahiriya In southern Kebbouch, sulphide ores are present in the form of mineral lenses of limited thickness. The reserve of theses ores is estimared (about 500,000 tons consisting of 8.5 (lead+zinc)and 30 pyrite. A study of these ores by microscope, showed that the mineral impurities are basically carbonates (lime and dolomite)with gypsum and clay. The sphalerite (ZnS)is distinguished by the size of particles which ranges between 10-100 microns, oftenly dispersed within the pyrites. This study showed that it is possible to obtain economical concentrates of lead, zinc and pyrite. The result of the treatment of these ores in the laboratory are as folow : -load concentrate containing 75 lead with a recovery of 70: -zinc concentrate containing 48 zinc with a recovery of 75: -sulphur concentrate containing 85 pyrite (40iron)and a recovery of 73. résumé zinc ; plomb ; pyrite ; minéralisation ; analyse ; Tunisie ; Tunisie Nord Occidentale ; Kebbouch Ben Frej Hédi Bouhlel Salah Cherif Najah Gîtologie
