(DEU) Wasser und boden Wiederverwendung von geklaertem abwasser im Medjerda - Tal, Tunesien. réutilisation d'eaux usées traitées dans la vallée de la Medjerda, Tunisie. Author's abstract: The Republic of Tunisia is compelled to make economic use of its water resources and has set the following targets: 1. Utilization of waste water for irrigation to save the resources of potable water. 2. Use of nutrients in waste water for crop production. 3. Protection of lakes and streams against waste water effluents to avoid eutrophication and to achieve a rehabilitation. Irrigation with 100 waste water is not tolerable as experience shows. In summer months clear water must be supplied. Since the procurement of clear water is a problem, the irrigation area is defined by the clear water facilities.
