Catalogue reference : The miskar Gas condensate field The Miskar field, operated by BG Tunisia Ldt is located in the Amilcar concession within the Gulf of Gabes, 110km east-southeast of Sfax. It is a gas condensate field which contains 30% inerts. The hydrocarbons are brough ashore at Sfax where theinerts are removed in the Hannibal gas processing plant. It contains hydrocarbons in three different intervals within the Cretaceous sedimentary sequence: within the Abiod formation, and the Douleb and Bierno members of the Aleg Formation. The Abiod, achalk, contains approximately half the hydrocarbons in place. The Douleb Member is divised into upper R1 Inferior intervals, where hydrocarbons are found in shallow marine carbonates varying from emergent to middle ramp in facies. The Bireno Member reservoirs lies within mid to other ramp carbonate facies.
