title of the reference :  Tunisian Annual Report 1974
Publication Date: 1974
Author : Kanes William H.
Catalogue type : Livre
Catalogue reference : Tunisian Annual Report 1974 The major problems to be studied were the structural position of Oligo-Miocène Numidian flysch and its stratigraphy. Numidian flysch and correlative rocks crop out from Sicily to Monaco and other areas around the Mediterranian Sea. Some workers have suggested the Numidian flysch is a far - travelled (more than 50 km)thrust scheet whereas other workers have suggested it is essentially in place. Field mapping in a critical area in Tunisia was undertaken to try and resolve this difference of opinion.Laboratory work on samples is presently in progress to establish the age relations within the numidian flysch and subjacent formations. coupe géologique ; corrélation ; fossile caractéristique ; trias ; jurassique ; quaternaire ; flysch numidien ; Tunisie ; Nefza ; Tebaga Kanes William H.
