Gattouna des cartes récentes)ont livré une faune d'ammonites pyriteuses du Gargasien (détrm. G. Sayn): elles reposent, en superposition anormale, sur des alternances de marno-calcaires à echinides (déterm. J. Lambert)du Maestrichtien: quant aux calcaires des crêtes du Koedel, ils ont livré : Eoradiolites Iyratus du Cénomanien inf., Chondrodonta joannae du Turonien, etc.: ils sont donc d'âge mésocrétacé, comme l'avaient entrevu A. Pomel et F. Aubert.
