The breaks are meant to define the geological series of a given region or in the country’s scale. They also show the thickness and arrangement of the different geological formation.
There are three types of geological breaks :
-
The Basic gelogical breaks describe the geological series of a given region and are exactly the transcription of the land in reality.
-
The Typical breaks are made from a synthesis of all the outcrop series on a given paper. Each one of them geological papers is accompanied with a certain number of basic-geologic and typical breaks.
-
The reference breaks, are defined by a a publication and are the most completed and representable breaks of a geological formation in the country’s scale.
