Geological interpretation of the Kasserine permit. Structural studies of the Kasserine Permit were also carried on to define the major tectonic processes which have affected the area. Atlasic compression, diapirism, wrench fairhing and gravity folding have acted throughout geological time produce a fairly complex structural picture. However nappes and large scale thursting were dismissed as having no importance whats never in the region's structural history. This report will review the previous exploration carried out in the vicinity of within the Permit, also the stratigraphical, structural and the geochimical studies which have been completed in this first phase of exploration.
