title of the reference :  Origins of changes in Abiod formation potential properties.
Publication Date: 1998
Author : Negra Mohamed Hédi
Catalogue type : Livre
Catalogue reference : Origins of changes in Abiod formation potential properties. According to the last discoveries in Tunisia (Zinia, Tiref, Sidi El Kilani), Abiod carbonates have comfirmed their potentialites in terms of reservoir cock. However, hydrocarbon seepage changes rapidely, sometimes within the same oil feild (Sidi El Kilani, for example). These changes are in close relation with the reservoir potential, source rocks availability and traps existence. The main objective of this paper will be to show, by means of some outcrop case studies, the rapid change in Abiod Formation properties in terms of reservoir potential. The latter seems to depend both on the initial sedimentary composition and the following diagenetic modifications. On the other hand, the existence of intra-Abiod traps seems to a particular Campanian paleogeography which is mainly expressed by an irregular topography (Negra, 1994: Negra et al, 1996).
